Example of a Samba (baiano stlye):

Aulao do Duda Patinho

Another gym class setting with a dance to the music of group ‘Terra samba’.
Exampleof Ax’e: Duda Patinho - Aulao

Lambaerobica - A! Body Tech

Here is a example of a Gym Class in Brazil… This will give you a good idea of what an Ax’e song and dance is. However, keep in mind that BAHIA ALEGRIA dance classes will have less steps and will be more easier to catch on. This one is quite complicated but will still give you an indication of what goes on in gyms in Brazil.
Example of FUNK at beach in Brazil:

Danca do Creu-Porto Seguro

This video gives you an idea that in Brazilians dance everywhere – especially at the beach! This is a very famous and cheaky song – with 5 stages – slow, medium, fast, very fast then – very crazy fast speed! Lots of fun and a great thigh and butt workout too.
Brazilian Gym Presentation Day

SWING BAIANO SESC Aquidaba “Desco a Madeira”

This video shows a group of dancers from a gym in Salvador doing a performance for a public holiday fun day held at the gym. None are professional dancers – rather just everyday gym goers who want to show what they learnt in class whilst having a lot of fun!
Example of Danca-Afro at Carnaval:

Male Debale Carnaval 2008 Salvador Bahia

This film was taken at Carnaval. The dancers set the pace and steps for the public watching, dancing and following behind.
Afro-Brazilian dance at Olodum:

Slleyk Olodum

A dance teacher in Salvador da Bahia leading others to follow his street afro-brasilian dance style at a Olodum practice session. In Bahia, it is very common that music groups and artists hold ‘ensaios’ or practice sessions in which started off as a get together for the band to practice but has now developed into weekly parties and events for everyone to join in.
Dance group presenting Pagode dance style:

Swing da Bahia - Vem Sambar

Here is a dance group training their dance of a ‘Harmonia do Samba’ song - yet another style of music from BAHIA, Brazil. Very often dance teachers from fitness clubs and gyms also train in groups for competitions and work with entertainment.
An old favorite - great example of Bahia music.

Tchakabum - Danca Da Maozinha

Many songs follow the same routine of learning asmall choreography, then repeating it over and over, each time a little bit faster and faster. Here is an old song that is still famos today.
Who said dance Is for just girls?

Tupatacutu com Suingue Raca

This video shows all boy group from Bahia. They are dancing to a very famous Band in Salvador da Bahia called Psirico, and sure can ‘quebra’!
